Being a woman of color comes with its own difficulties, and the struggles and trauma that we endure are specific to us. Having a therapist that can not only relate but help reframe and reprogram past, painful learning by helping to discover the underlying source of self-defeating and limiting thoughts/beliefs. We often feel like there is something wrong with us, but we work to restructure those thoughts to become “What has happened to me that cause me to be this way?” Together, we explore various forms or racism and gender oppression that affect BIPOC communities. Your client experience will be built on ensuring transparency, a feeing of safety, and appreciation for your culture and your place in it. We’re often held to be the strength for everyone around us and together we will learn that self-care isn’t selfish, and to prioritize your mental and emotional health so that you can grow in confidence to be the queen were designed to be.
